Resident Services
A new driver's license is required "Within 30 days after moving to Iowa. The driver 's
license station is at Mall of the Bluffs, Interstate 80 and Madison Avenue, (712) 323-1219. Vehicles must be registered within 30 days of moving to the state. Vehicles can
be registered at the Pottawattamie County Treasurer's Office, 227 Sixth Street, Council Bluffs, (712) 328-5631. The vehicle title is required.
Residents, in order to be eligible to vote, must register 10 days or more before a primary or general election. Voter Registration is offered at the County Auditor's Office, 227 South Sixth Street,. (712) 328-5700. Voter registration is also available at the driver's license station. Council Bluffs'
main U.S. Post Office location is at 8 South Sixth Street, (800) 275-8777.
